Universal social actions help

homeless people in France

Volunteers from the ABC association made several donations of food, hygiene items and clothing.

Certainly, France is one of the world powers and known as a country rich in culture and history. The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Pyramid,  the parks and much more, attract a wave of tourists. In 2018 alone, the territory received 89.4 million visitors.

But in the daily life of the city, unfortunately, the reality is much more obscure than we think. Almost 10 million people live below the poverty line in the territory and, unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has aggravated the situation.

Many are on the streets because of drugs, family tragedies or are immigrants looking for a better life in Europe. Scorned by the majority, these people live without life expectancy.

Helping hand

For this reason, volunteers from ABC (local social support group at Universal) seek to be the helping hand that helps this portion of the population. They take a meal to feed the body and a word of faith to feed the soul. Recently, the association made a large delivery of food donations, hygiene items, protective masks and clothing across the country.

“People from several cities received our help. Sometimes this is the only meal of the day, even the week. The volunteers joined forces to take donations and also a word of faith and motivation. We believe in this mission that God gave us, when we do good to others, we please Him ”, says Pastor Alfredo Neves, responsible for social work in France.
