Exercise of Forgiveness

No one can receive the Holy Spirit if they still hold a grudge against someone.

God’s forgiveness depends on our forgiveness.

It is a commandment of Jesus:

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6.14-15

But how do I forgive someone when I don’t feel like forgiving them? I can’t forget the harm they’ve done to me?

How can I force my heart to forgive?

You can’t. No one can control the impulses of the heart. If the heart is rebellious against God, imagine with us!

So how do you obey the Lord Jesus and forgive?

The heart may be whatever, but it cannot stop you from reasoning when you are a defined person.

Use your intelligence and pray for this person. Say their name before God, ask Him to bless them and things of the sorts…

Even if your heart screams, cries, and feels hatred, it is important that you use reason, intelligence, and OBEY the Word of Jesus and speak blessings upon this person.

The Holy Spirit, through this effort of faith, will certainly and immediately remove the ill feelings from your heart.

You will be free from the cancer of the soul, receive God’s forgiveness, and be baptized with the Holy Spirit.
