The greatest wealth
Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things. Genesis 24.1
As the father of faith and example to be followed, Abraham’s life could not lack in any way, because if it did, how could he be the model of faith in the One God?
God made sure to point out that He blessed Abraham in all things, this is, he was WEALTHY IN FAITH, so that we would not accept there to be a lack in any part of our life. If we possess the same wealth in faith, we must show this with a life of quality.
As children of Abraham by faith, we have the right to the same blessings and promises made to Abraham. God wants to bless us in all things, but for this to be true in our life, we must understand that Abraham’s example must be followed: live from faith to faith, from Altar to Altar.
Throughout his journey, Abraham learned the path of how to please God, and this path is through SACRIFICE! Without it no one can please God, for as it is written, “Faith without works is dead.”
And it was through this life of unconditional and sacrificial obedience that Abraham became the FATHER OF FAITH, A FRIEND OF GOD, THE EXAMPLE GOD COMMANDED TO OBSERVE AND FOLLOW. And, in the end, we will all go to the BOSOM OF ABRAHAM, because the greatness of the Abrahamic faith ends with the SALVATION OF THE SOUL. And it is only with this living faith in unconditional obedience to the Word of God that we can obtain, achieve everything we want, even the most important thing of all: OUR ETERNAL SALVATION!
Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? James 2.5
May the God of Abraham open your ears to listen and understand what He wants from you!
