Why not today?

Every time I need to go to the shopping mall to buy something (which I hate to do), the thing I hate the most, besides finding it crowded, is to hear from the salesman that what I want is not in stock. So I have to pay and wait for it to be delivered. I hate this and suspect I’m not the only one!We live in a world where everything is immediate. We want everything right away, and in some cases we want things yesterday.
But when it comes to spiritual things many don’t bother to wait. How many people have attended church for years (including Universal) and still do not know God and have not been sealed with the Spirit of the Most High.
But why does this happen?
Because they see no problem leaving a meeting, or participating in the Fast of Daniel without “taking to heart” what they’re seeking.
When Jesus gave Zacchaeus the chance to change his life He used the word “today” two times.

When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home TODAY.” Luke 19:5

Zacchaeus immediately came down. He didn’t postpone it for later. He didn’t ask Jesus to reschedule so that he could arrange his house, or buy some better food, etc.
He acted immediately and came down from the tree in a hurry to welcome Jesus with joy.
Then at home, in the presence of Jesus, he didn’t wait for anyone to tell him what to do because the Holy Spirit Himself spoke to his conscience.
What did Zacchaeus do?
Once again he acted immediately. He could not and did not want to lose such a glorious opportunity that he was being given.

Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood before the Lord and said, “I will give half my wealth to the poor, Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them back four times as much!” Luke 19:8

Right then and there, in front of everyone he confessed to his sins, acknowledged his mistakes and grabbed a hold of the opportunity to receive the greatest of all blessings: the Salvation of his soul.
Jesus responded, “Salvation has come to this home TODAY, for this man has shown himself to be a true son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.”
Jesus doesn’t want to wait to baptize you in the Holy Spirit. He doesn’t want to wait to save you.
He wants you TODAY!
The question that begs to be asked is: TODAY do you want to leave your life of sin behind, the grudges and the pleasures of this dirty world?
At this very moment Jesus, through the person of the Holy Spirit, is in your house, just like He was in the house of Zacchaeus.
And for sure, what He most wants to say is: TODAY he/she was baptized with My Spirit.
It depends solely on You.
